Account and Submissions

We store your display name, email address, a secure password hash, verification status, and your submitted websites and images. This information is needed to provide your account, submissions, sharing and notifications. Password and verification links are valid for one hour.

Votes and protection against abuse

For each vote, we store the website, time and, for logged in users, the account ID. The IP address is pseudonymized with a secret key for voting. After seven days, we will remove this IP association and account association from older votes; the anonymized votes are retained for the ranking list. To limit abusive requests, we store temporary pseudonymized counters.

Visitor statistics

The public visitor counter shows different IP addresses with a page visit within the last 24 hours. We only store a hash of the IP address protected with a secret key and the time of the last visit, no pages accessed and no additional cookies. After 24 hours without further visits, the entry will be automatically deleted. Known bots are excluded based on their browser identifier. Multiple people on the same Internet connection can be counted as one visitor.

Cookies and server logs

A technically necessary session cookie enables registration and form protection. It does not contain advertising or analytics features. The server can independently process access and error logs with IP addresses. The storage of these hosting logs must be finally determined by the operator.

Your language preference is saved in a cookie for one year. For signed-in users, we also save the selected language in the account so that account messages can be sent in that language.

Emails and external websites

Account verification, password reset and submission status will be sent via email. Outbound links lead to independent websites with their own data protection information. Images and fonts on this website are provided by our own server; no external analysis or advertising services are integrated.

Deletion and your rights

You can delete your account and your submissions in your profile. For information, corrections or other data protection concerns, please contact us by email. Legal rights and the responsible supervisory authority must be specified in the final data protection declaration.
